- CIPS level 5 or 6 qualified or equivalent industry experience
- have significant experience in procurement, preferably from within a manufacturing environment
- be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data management
- excellent organisational skills, with experience of working to strict deadlines
- ideally possess knowledge of electrical and mechanical components
- strong analytical skills
- hold strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
- A can-do attitude, be self-motivated, demonstrate an ability to juggle more than one project at any one time
Responsibility
- identify and implement process improvements within procurement operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- maintain accurate supplier data within the MRP system, with a focus on price consistency and lead times
- regularly update and validate supplier information to support effective procurement planning
- oversee part number creation for purchased items, ensuring all mandatory data fields are accurately populated within the MRP system
