Working hours

Responsibility

  • checking client samples and information
  • conducting preliminary moisture analysis
  • conducting screen/sieve analysis
  • maintaining sample storage system and disposal when required
  • conduct sample logistics for each testing laboratory
  • maintain cleanliness of the working area
  • perform calibration checks on ovens and balances daily
  • utilising proper PPE for task and ensuring a safe work area through housekeeping

Requirements

  • numerate, literate and computer literature
  • practical laboratory skills
  • high standard of dexterity
  • HND/HNC, BTEC or NVQ equivalent in a scientific subject
  • good judgement and problem-solving skills
  • ability to understand instruction and implementation
  • good awareness of Health and Safety regulations relating to laboratory hazards
  • awareness to detail
