Responsibility
- prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads
- monitor project budgets and expenses, implementing cost control measures to ensure financial targets are met
- conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective
- collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for cost analysis
- prepare tender documents and assist in the evaluation of bids from contractors
- maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects
- provide regular reports on project costs and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders
- attend site meetings to discuss progress, issues, and any changes that may impact costs
Education
- bachelor's
Requirements
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential
- proven experience in quantity surveying or cost management within the construction industry is preferred
- strong understanding of cost control methodologies and practices
- excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
