farm worker
Responsibility
- general maintenance of all areas
- joinery such as fixing sheds, repairing doors, laying flooring and tiling, painting
- plumbing such as burst pipes, leaky taps, installing troughs
- groundworks such as concreating, jet washing, painting, grass cutting
- machinery such as oil/filter changes, changing tyres, servicing
- perform general farm duties such as assisting with livestock as required
- operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- monitor livestock and assist with feeding and care
Requirements
- knowledge & previous experience in a Maintenance role
- basic mechanical knowledge
- basic plumbing experience
- basic woodworking / joinery experience
- ability to weld or perform basic electrical repairs is a plus
- proven ability to maintain attention to detail and a tidy worker
- previous farming experience is not necessary for this role, this is a general DIY type position and will suit someone wanting a change of scenery with an interest in farming or wishing to learn more
- the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
