Responsibility
- diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles
- perform routine maintenance and service checks on vehicles
- your responsibilities will include electrical and mechanical repairs, including steering, suspension, brakes, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing
- inspect and test components of vehicles to identify any faults
- be able to accurately provide estimates for repairs to ensure all vehicles are prepared to our standards
- replace faulty parts and components of vehicles
- ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them
- keep accurate records of all work carried out on vehicles
Requirements
- an electric or hybrid qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training would be provided
- MOT Testing licence would be preferred but not essential
- full UK driving licence
- we will consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working within the automotive sector as a vehicle technician, mechanic, MOT Tester or Auto Electrician
- as a minimum you will hold or be working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
