  • high Mechanical aptitude – pneumatic system assembly and fault finding, bearings, drive and transmission systems, understanding mechanical drawings for both assembly and maintenance activities, working with a range of metals and materials
  • mechanical engineering: 5 years

Responsibility

  • assembly of Mechanical machinery for new Automated Soil Carbon Analysis systems
  • mechanical Design of machines, assemblies and parts using Solidworks
  • work alongside the production team to improve the efficiency and design of current & upcoming systems
  • participate in root causes analysis work to ensure we correctly identify root causes and preventative actions
  • occasional Maintenance activities
  • participate in brainstorming meetings
  • play a key role in working with the rest of the engineering team to define the site expansion, development of the next generation of ASCA systems and other R&D activity

driver

Responsibility

  • delivery and collection of sampling vehicles in UK and Europe
  • logistical movements of spare parts, packaging, etc to field operators
  • utilise tacographs in relevant prime mover vehicles and adhere to the relevant driver hours rules
  • be available for jobs at short notice on an ad-hoc basis

  • necessary practical skills to operate prime mover vehicles alone
  • experience driving with trailers and heavy loads
  • A UK Cat C1/C1E driving license
  • CPC and tachograph card
  • understanding of H&S and evidence of being able to adhere to safety protocols

  • experience driving long distances

  • record all info accurately in Agricarbon's project management database
  • work closely with the wider Agricarbon project management team to gather input and provide feedback on progress
  • perform other project management administrative duties on request
  • reach out to all farmers in the project, and diligently gather all required information from them
