- providing an account management function for each Member in the region
- A proven track record of business development in either a commercial or trade association environment
- to identify market and business opportunities for Members
- to communicate with the Membership base, sign posting business opportunities and providing introductions to key industry contacts
- reporting to the ADS Ireland Director, the Business Development Manager will have the lead role in supporting and growing Members in the region
- visit and engage with Members in the most cost–effective way to maximise opportunities for Members to understand the ADS value proposition
- confident and credible representative of their organization, capable of working well both autonomously and as part of the wider ADS team
- strong management and interpersonal skills, with first class communication and presentation skills
- responsible for the effective use of resource to ensure Member engagement, participation and satisfaction is achieved across the Membership base
- develop a close working relationship with ADS Members in the region and with companies in the sector, understanding their business issues and offering solutions and support where appropriate

- to take full control of the development and delivery of projects
- proven experience of instigating, developing and delivering projects
- to build and develop relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
- knowledge or experience in Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space sectors is desirable, particularly Aerospace with the largest number of Members in the region
- good understanding of the economic development landscape and its stakeholders
- to encourage and support companies in the participation of the SC21 Business Excellence programme and the NATEP R&D Programme
- willing to travel overnight and have a flexible approach to travel to support and deliver required Membership support
- plan, organise and deliver a programme of Member activity from small networking events, working groups, Information Forums, webinars, etc. In support of companies needs and requirements, maximizing Member participation and retention
- experience of liaising with employees at all levels in commercial sector from apprentice to CEO and of partnership working with the public sector
- the role directly reports to the Director, ADS Ireland
- understanding of web content management and communications
