- analyse blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive project estimates
- utilise industry-standard software such as Civil 3D to create detailed estimates and cost breakdowns
- develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
- review project scope changes and provide updated cost estimates as needed
- monitor project budgets and provide regular reports on estimated versus actual costs
- mentor and train junior estimators to enhance team performance
Requirements
- proven experience as an Estimator or Estimating Manager in the construction industry
- proficiency in using estimating software such as Civil 3D is preferred
- strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- time management skills to meet deadlines effectively
