Responsibility
- build and develop working relationships with clients, accountants and HMRC to ensure claims are optimised and deadlines are met
- ensure R&D claims meet the requirements of relevant tax legislation and the Guidelines
- ensure clients receive a consistent high level of service
- review claim reports, R&D expenditure calculations and tax submissions for other team members
- ensure company workflow for R&D claims is met for every client
- maintain internal systems ensuring data integrity
- alongside your technical counterpart, you will gather information from clients on all aspects of their R&D which you believe to be eligible under the UK R&D scheme
- assemble R&D expenditure calculations, finalise the claim report to include the claim methodology, and complete any additional tax and financial requirements, in a timely manner
Requirements
- accountancy/tax qualified e.g. ACA/ACCA/CTA/ATT
- ensure you are up to date with internal R&D training
- team player; with the ability to develop and inspire others
- manage multiple timelines, deadlines and queries
- strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail
