• provide safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities
• ensure that all activities are carried out within an equal opportunity’s framework
• undertake any necessary training including a nationally recognised play work foundation course
• encourage community-wide participation and activity planning and delivery
• in this role you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the children, activities that are running and also excellent customer service
• develop and maintain good relationships and communications with parents to facilitate day-to-day caring needs
• you will join an elite group of coaches, teachers and play workers in this area for Get Active Sports running a fun holiday club
• encourage parental involvement and support through the development of effective working relationships
• candidates must have experience working with children from 5-12-year olds. DBS checks will be carried out, safeguarding and first aid are desired but not essential due to training which is available
• consult with the children and involve them in the planning of activities
• ensure that activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner
• ensure that food provision is carried out within the guidelines of the food safety act 1990
• ensure that play meets the full range of children's individual and group needs
• lead the day-to-day running of the after-school club
• engage with children and tend to their needs
• promote and deliver excellence by following all company and Ofsted standards and expectations
• provide activities for the children
