maintenance technician

Working hours

Responsibility

  • work closely with the Facilities Manager and Operations to identify maintenance issues and log jobs on the FM software
  • complete reactive tasks within an agreed timescale based on competence and skillset, drawing on subcontracted support where appropriate
  • complete monthly compliance Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • responsible for the maintenance of head office and the entire estate across the UK. Ensuring between the FM team there is coverage 7 days a week across trading hours. With the ability to work independently when required and as part of a team
  • conduct routine maintenance and repair tasks on all coffee shop equipment, including but not limited to, espresso machines, grinders, hot water boilers, refrigeration units, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, decoration and gardening
  • attend to all reasonable emergency call out request as speedily as possible and maintain good communications with the store and the Facilities Manager with progress of all outstanding works
  • audit the stores on a regular basis to ensure all compliance testing and PPM visits are up to date. Ensuring all instructions and records are completed and maintained at head office and in stores
  • undertake a visual condition inspection of all installed equipment / assets and building fabric and report on any items that many jeopardise reliability

Education

  • must have a full driving license, be prepared to travel, work flexible hours and stay overnight as needed
  • knowledge of Health & Safety, industry regulations, guidance and working practices
  • experience working on other facilities management contracts, building maintenance and statutory testing regimes
  • natural strength in strategic, process thinking and time management. Ability to absorb and digest training and instruction
  • ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences at all levels with a positive attitude
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of coffee shop equipment, or equivalent experience in a related field
