- work directly with the co-founders, proactively contributing to designs with feedback and ideas for improvement
- design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
- ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- help improve our processes and tooling to increase code quality, organization and automation
- help us deliver outstanding customer support
Requirements
- good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
- solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- happy to work remotely as part of a small team
- happy to travel to Brighton once a month for a team gathering
- communicates clearly, in a friendly way
- knack for writing clean, readable code
- understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- based in the UK
