- to achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
- overseeing the planning and implementation of the EYFS curriculum across all age groups
- to keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends specifically related to the relevant curriculum
- to assist in compiling policies and ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
- to implement an effective parent liaison program and to be influential in developing strong partnership with parents/carers
- dealing with complex staff issues as they arise such as grievances, investigations, disciplinary matters, absence management and flexible working requests
- to effectively lead and manage the staffs including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
- ensuring that child/staff ratios are adhered to at all times and that all daily checklists are completed on time and accurately, such as room opening and close, outdoor, toilet and kitchen checklists
Requirements
- CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3, EYFS or equivalent
- post-qualification experience and supervisory experience
- excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
- excellent communication and IT skills
- strong people management skills
- knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities
