Responsibility
- safely and efficiently operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- reporting to and working with Operations / Dispatchers
- conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition
- load, unload, and secure cargo to prevent damage during transportation
- plan and execute routes, considering factors such as traffic conditions, delivery schedules, and vehicle capabilities
- maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information
- communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- zeus Freight are looking to hire skilled and reliable Full time/Part time HGV Class 1 Drivers to join the team. The salary is up to £39,500pa, pro rata. Overtime available over 50 hours
Requirements
- valid HGV Class 1 license with CPC and digital tacho
- minimum of 2 years of experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver
- must be a minimum of 26 years old
- A clean driving record with no more than 3 penalty points
- excellent knowledge of road safety regulations
- ability to navigate efficiently using maps and GPS systems
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- class 1 driving: 2 years
