Requirements
- ➢ Minimum 3-year financial experience working for a Charity or Third Sector essential
- ➢ An ability to provide accurate information
- ➢ A wholehearted commitment to equality, diversity, and YES’s values
- ➢ Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- ➢ Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- ➢ Experience in charity governance, particularly servicing a Board of Trustees
- ➢ High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- ➢ Experience of running annual audit
Responsibility
- prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar accounting entries
- 19. Prepare financial information and advice as required by the Chief Executive and other managers
- produce and monitor cashflow projections and advise Treasurer and CEO of any unexpected variance
- to attend the Annual General Meeting and present the audited/verified accounts
- drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices
- to participate in training as required
- oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets, including assets purchased with restricted funds assuring all are in accordance with contractual and financial regulations
- managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems
