Do not touch this company with a barge pole. They did exactly the same with us. Took the deposit, started the job, gave excuse after excuse, never came back. Left our premises in a shocking state.

(deleted by the administrator)/Yorkshire Smile Landcapers and his colleague took the deposit for a job they never ever started. Promises and excuses after excuses for why they didn’t turn up when agreed, and this has been going on for months. At the end sadly we had to realise these are horrible, vile scammers. They of course disappeared and can no longer be contacted, they owe us almost £8000.

Do no use this firm, ripped my friend off, took her money and not done the job. supposed to be laying her drive way, needs reporting to police . has a CCJ against them unsatisfied, shouldnt be allowed to trade

Found on bark, good (fake) reviews. Same as all the other reviews start the job don’t come back excuse after excuse. £2000 transferred in good faith-gone. I now have a CCJ against the company but all these types do is liquidise and thats the end of it.

Something needs to be done about folk like this

I sent £2000 05 March 2024. He lives 5 minutes away from me annoyingly

Imagine all of the folk who have been ripped off who haven't found this site as there is nowhere else to review them.

Sorry for what has happened to you. I gave £3000 in good faith. I think this is a police matter as it’s not once. It’s repeated behaviour which is fraudulent and steeling.
I am now in the process of taking them to court.

If you paid YSL directly into their bank account, and you have an invoice etc, and your own bank is signed up to the Contingent Reimbursement Model, your bank might be able to help you. Give it a try.

I can’t imagine how many people this affects, he took our money a lot later than yours which means he knowingly took money with no intention of doing the job as he was already ripping people off by that point. Shocking.

No such luck - if you pay with Faster Payment not card they cannot recover it

I used YLS from Bark thinking they would be trustworthy and reputable. The reviews on Bark were really good. However I wish I had seen these reviews before. I have been scammed £3000. They are a limited company and I sent money via bank transfer. Is there anyway I can get my money back? Legally?

I suggest reporting to the police in the first instance or contacting citizens advice bureau. Unfortunately these (deleted by the administrator)are notorious for this. The owners details can easily be found on companies house.

I tried to claim back through my bank, the action fraud team and the police, they all refused to help. I took the man to court, I have a CCJ, but I have no faith whatsoever.

Back to there job that that started on the 26th of October 2023 they have made my garden unsafe and had quotes buy other companies to rectify there work and it’s in the excess of £20,000. I would never recommend this company. Rip off merchants

Avoid using this company started a project and still to this day hasn’t come back to finish his work and left the rear garden in a poor state and unsafe left drainage block. Lie constantly tell you son sorties and that they have been ripped off buy (deleted by the administrator)the second cowboy. Well all I can say is the only rip off merchants is the owner and his lies

Did you get anywhere with the court, please? The bank, the action fraud team and the police have all said they won’t do anything about these horrible low life criminals.
