we are a 14 strong team of professionals looking to add a new competent member to the team
managing your time and tasks effectively as this job is very physically demanding and you’ll be working outdoors in all weathers
our incredibly busy Gardening, Landscaping and Tree Surgery business is looking for a full-time gardener to join our professional service, throughout the greater York area
being able to work in a team, but often on your own
must meet at YO32 9SJ @ 7.30am each working day, or if supplied with a company vehicle a specific site
working to detailed briefs for assigned work and taking a hands on approach to a wide variety of jobs including grass cutting, weeding, strimming, tree cutting, pruning, hedge trimming, and possibly some hard landscaping
able to use a wide range of petrol garden machinery and tools including lawn mowers, strimmers, brushcutters, blowers, turf cutters, chainsaws, weed sprayers, hedgetrimmers, scarifiers and rotavators
this position comes with a work vehicle which can be used to commute to and from home each day. You will then take the van home with you at the end of the day
Requirements
hold a UK Driving Licence
A Minimum of 1 year experience in similar position
A Minimum of 2 years experience in similar position
A good eye and attention to detail. Applicants should be experienced in all aspects of garden preparation and maintenance
A Pro-Active approach. Being able to walk into any garden and see what needs doing is essential
have good communication and customer service skills
any horticultural qualifications would be an advantage
experience in paving, driveways, turfing, brickwork, site levelling, fencing, decking etc, would be an advantage
