driver
Responsibility
- receive stock items – checking documentation and quantities supplied. Report all goods shortages to the sales department
- produce hand-written “dummy” delivery notes for any goods that arrive without supporting paperwork
- serve customers on the trade counter
- pick stock for customers on the trade counter, customer collections and deliveries
- manage / maintain stock levels and notify sales staff of shortages
- deliver customer orders
- help maintain a safe working environment within the stores e.g., keeping aisles and fire exits clear, checking equipment and ladder safety
- assist with stock checks
Requirements
- attention to detail. Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about detail. Able to follow processes and work to strict timescales
- organisation. Is organised and methodical
- communication skills. Able to express information to customers clearly and listen to others
- valid driving licence to drive a vehicle in the UK
- previous experience in a store’s environment beneficial although not essential
- teamwork. Able to work as part of a team, on own initiative
- reasonable level of literacy and numeracy
- good customer service skills
