Job had to be put right by another company who I had to get in as no certificate was provided by Wired by Martin despite promising he would drop it round.
He takes your money for substandard work that he won't provide a certificate for.

Sadly, Martin let me down in a big way. I needed a new circuit board as the one in my house was over 40 years old. My request was I needed a safety certificate to prove that the work had been done to British Standards so if I need to sell my property, I can prove the work was done by a competent, qualified electrician. The work was done and my invoice stated that on payment, i would receive my certificate. I also paid extra for a full safety check on the electrics on the house. 5 months later and after many promises of 'I will bring the certificate around tomorrow' it never arrived. Reason? He didn't fit the metal lid to the new circuit board and there is a gap in the top of the box where the meter tail is narrower than the BS cut out hole. He did not explain that I needed the provider to upgrade the meter tails to the new BS thickness. So I have a new circuit board, the wiring is not certified and he can't do this because the box is not fireproof. He lied and laughed at me for 5 months, knowing he could never certify the work. My advice is do not use this electrician, he can't provide the paperwork to prove the work has been done to BS standards. A complete rip off and I have to get the job done again. If my house goes up in flames and I die, it is because of this man. He has no website, gets work through Facebook and Instagram. He came to me because I was having a new kitchen installed and the company in Dumbarton uses him as a freelance electrician. I assumed he was legit and I hold my hand up that I did not do due diligence. He is not on any register than counts. He has been reported to Trading Standards. Do not use this numpty.
