Responsibility
- generate growth by raising revenue and improving profitability
- manage and develop a list of private clients. Sourcing, pricing and reccommending products to them
- plan, market and host public and private tasting events
- process sales and handle cash
- train and develop the trainee managers, assisting them in acheiving their potential
- keep the store tidy and organised, and create promtional displays
- order stock, manage the stockroom, receive and process deliveries and transfers
- stock control and stock-taking
Requirements
- have Experience in wine retail
- be a skilled sales-person
- be able to manage one's own time while working towards a collective goal
- have experience in maintaining a loyal client base
- be confident in identifying and exploiting business development opportunities
- have a sound knowledge of the current retail wine market and be able to identify and exploit trends
- be a skilled and fastidious inventory manager
- have a great passion for, and sound knowledge of, wine and wine making practices, and be capable of communicating that to customers in an engaging and accessible way
