Working hours

Responsibility
- production of electrical schematic drawings from specifications
- modifying existing drawings in line with customers comments
- provide technical support to the following departments within the business, site services, test, and switchgear
- after forming over one hundred years ago, Winder Power Group have a wide range of customers in the utility, renewable energy and industrial sectors
- they have considerable experience of designing and manufacturing iron-shielded and gapped core reactors and other products such as; Bespoke Alternators & Generators, Power and Distribution Transformers & Factory Refurbishments
- liaise with suppliers to ensure that electrical components, are manufactured to the required specification, delivered on time, and within budget
- attending both in-house and external meetings
- winder Power Group is growing rapidly and are providing an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Controls Design Engineer to join the team in Pudsey LS28
Requirements
- ability to read both electrical and mechanical drawings
- proficient in the use of AutoCAD
- tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- good written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail are essential
- the ability to work to targets as part of a small team
- good communication skills and the ability to connect naturally with people
- to be able to work well using own initiative and as part of a team
- ability to ensure the work gets done in a timely and effective manner
