Responsibility

  • perform insert etch processing to prepare components for use in composite manufacturing
  • operate chemical etching and vapour blast equipment
  • carrying out duties as instructed by the Component Assembly Team leader as per the daily work list
  • operate Zund cutting table and SigmaNest
  • critically evaluate all components during assembly and disassembly, ensuring their integrity and reporting all faults
  • reverse engineer laminators' templates using Sigma-NEST digitising software
  • operate pass-off and test rigs as required
  • process and optimise Fibersim 2D DXFS files

Requirements

  • experience within a similar environment is desirable
  • relevant component assembly /sub assembly experience in F1, F2 or Sports Car Racing
  • GCSE/A levels
  • ideal candidate would be comfortable using Teamcenter PLM and CAD systems
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • familiarity with Lifing systems is beneficial
  • proficient in using PC and related software
  • skilled in interpreting engineering and plybook drawings
