  • must be proficient with the keyboard and IT applications
  • to work if required flexible hours to meet the demands of the organisation
  • to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the quality procedures adopted by Wildgoose Rural Training
  • experience in accounting processes, managing ledgers and producing management accounts
  • excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task
  • proficient in administrative functions and of working in a financial management and administrative environment

Responsibility

  • support the management and business development team in all aspects of financial and where appropriate administrative functions
  • be proactive in business development activities, identifying and pursuing potential income generating opportunities
  • take responsibility for managing aspects of commercial business activities for Wildgoose Rural Training
  • working with our Financial Controller, manage and develop the organisation’s accounting systems including all aspects of purchase, sales and nominal ledger management and producing monthly management accounts including for our separate trading arm Wildgoose Trading
  • provide administrative support required to submit timely payment claims and any other aspect of managing our client business and supplier accounts, including meeting weekly, monthly or annual contractual requirements of our clients and suppliers
  • provide support to the Managing Director and the Senior Management Team in preparing budgets, setting forecasts and organising grant management processes
  • support all aspects of the day-to-day administrative functions of the business including liaising with clients, staff and external organisations and dealing with relevant correspondence and maintaining accurate paper and electronic records and files
  • oversee the financial and monitoring arrangements to maintain the operation and smooth running of the office, and other Wildgoose facilities; meeting rooms, educational facilities, café and visitors centre
