ensure that the image and levels of customer service within the department is in line with company standards
serve Technicians to a high standard, Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
receive all parts orders, interpreting technicians & customer requirements and giving advice on any additional requirements or prices, matching orders against stock items and advising customer of any items which are not stocked or need ordering
provide product information and recommendations to customers
locate unavailable items from other suppliers and arrange for delivery or pass order to stock control for Vehicle Off Road orders to be raised
to make up technicians & customer orders for despatch as required ensuring that they match customer order and that any shortages are highlighted, ensuring that all orders taken are fully completed, invoiced and despatched as scheduled and that the customer is kept fully informed of progress or of any problems
assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing
ensure that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively, referring any unresolved problems to the job holders immediate supervisor
Requirements
use of DMS would be an advantage
previous retail or customer service experience preferred
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
knowledge of products or willingness to learn about them
ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

maximising available hours to ensure sold hours targets are achieved
promote other services and products to customer as appropriate
liase effectively with customer booking, workshop loading and parts operation
receive customers and their vehicle in a friendly and professional manner
keep customers fully and regularly informed of changes to costs and expected completion
to raise vehicle job cards for each job and pass to workshop control for scheduling, ensuring that all service documentation is completed as accurately as possible and that customer records are maintained
to notify customers of all problems or additional work required and gain authority to proceed, and keep them fully informed of the progress of the work, throughout the time of the repair
