Working hours

Responsibility

provide service-wide clinical oversight including safeguarding and risk monitoring
manage and lead a safe, professional, sustainable and accessible counselling service consistent with WCWA’s vision, peer ethic, policies and objectives
provide supervision to counsellors. Supervision will be delivered via a minimum of three 1.5-hour sessions per week
line manage and provide supervision to the Counselling Coordinator and the Support and Guidance Worker
provide three 50-minute service user counselling sessions per week
deliver a minimum of one 2-hour group therapy session per week
to be a critical point of contact for individuals presenting in crisis
devise and deliver relevant volunteer training

Requirements

recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy Level 4 with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience - Essential
registration and/or accreditation of relevant professional body, i.e. BACP, UKCP - Essential
certificate in counselling supervision or working towards supervision qualification - Essential
working within and adhering to BACP guidelines - Essential
demonstrable experience and/or understanding of working with women/girls affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence - Essential
evidence of post-qualifying continuous professional development - Desirable
experience of group work - Essential
ability to carry out assessments and provide high quality counselling - Essential
