mental health support worker
Working hours
- full-time | Part-time
Responsibility
- encouraging patients to participate in therapeutic activities and programs
- observing and reporting any changes in the patients mental or physical condition to healthcare professionals
- maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient care
- providing emotional support to patients with mental health challenges, including low mood, depression, anxiety, mania, self-harming, and experiencing suicidal thoughts to develop their own coping strategies to deal with crisis situations
- participating in community education initiatives and raising awareness of therapeutic community aims and objectives and taking part in activities designed specifically to publicise the service
- to identify the triggers of people who use our service and implement a structured support strategy and safety planning programme to deliver an agreed outcome in a short period of time
- implement therapeutic tools and interventions to tailor the needs of our service users including cognitive behavioural tools, mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal skills, and other coping strategies
