Working hours

Responsibility

  • encouraging patients to participate in therapeutic activities and programs
  • observing and reporting any changes in the patients mental or physical condition to healthcare professionals
  • maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient care
  • providing emotional support to patients with mental health challenges, including low mood, depression, anxiety, mania, self-harming, and experiencing suicidal thoughts to develop their own coping strategies to deal with crisis situations
  • participating in community education initiatives and raising awareness of therapeutic community aims and objectives and taking part in activities designed specifically to publicise the service
  • to identify the triggers of people who use our service and implement a structured support strategy and safety planning programme to deliver an agreed outcome in a short period of time
  • implement therapeutic tools and interventions to tailor the needs of our service users including cognitive behavioural tools, mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal skills, and other coping strategies
