Responsibility
- conduct routine 6 weekly inspections and diagnostics of PSV to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- assist with annual tests
- perform preventive maintenance on buses, coaches, and other public service vehicles to ensure reliability and safety
- repair or replace defective components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- maintain accurate service records and report on any defects or concerns to management
- work efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime for vehicles and ensure they are roadworthy
- stay updated on relevant industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance
- collaborate with other mechanics and workshop staff to complete tasks in a timely manner
Requirements
- proven experience as a PSV Mechanic or similar role
- strong knowledge of PSV systems, components, and repair techniques
- ability to diagnose complex mechanical faults and provide solutions
- good understanding of safety protocols and vehicle maintenance regulations
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- experience working with a variety of PSV models and brands
- full, clean driving license
- ability to work independently or as part of a team
