- confident driving in both rural and city areas for long periods
- attention to detail
Responsibility
- daily completion of Vehicle Checks before starting your journey - as per vehicle checklists provided
- keeping the overall cleanliness of the van to a high standard; internally and externally
- daily checks of drivers notice board for any updates including hours rota, route allocation and van service/repair schedule
- daily completion and return of driver’s route sheet and receipt book
- checking orders against invoices, to ensure orders on the van are complete before starting your route
- taking responsibility for company property and ensuring return of delivery crates used each day
- driving safely and courteously at all times, within speed limits and in line with current UK legislation
- ensuring you follow company procedure for deliveries, including specific guidelines for non-accepted deliveries and returned goods
