- ensure processes are in place to enable department operatives to efficiently carry out their individual roles to an acceptable standard
- develop relationships and communicate effectively with key clients and business partners
- ensure any tender enquiries are dealt with efficiently and deadlines are met
- ensure client expectations are carefully managed and delivered
- receive regular feedback from clients and assist with implementation of appropriate action addressing areas of concern for the customer
- oversee the planning and monitoring of projects
- oversee the delivery of projects from pre-construction planning to delivery and after care, post practical completion
- responsible for operations and work-force management on designated projects, including overseeing, selection and coordination of subcontractors
Requirements
- experience in pricing and managing minor works schemes
- proven commercial awareness
- an understanding of Contract Law and JCT contracts
- experience within a small/medium sized construction company
- ability to develop, motivate and lead a team
- ability to make difficult decisions affecting fellow team members
- relevant: 2 years
- good interpersonal skills – Positive attitude, approachable and able to work as part of a team or on own
