  • manage day-to-day production, goods inwards, despatch and quality operations alongside various horticultural labour processes such as sticking and topping

Responsibility

  • posting all purchase invoices and credit notes onto the accounts system
  • check supplier statements agree to accounts system
  • preparing invoices for payment runs
  • filing all invoices for payment in invoice order and all paid invoices in supplier invoice files
  • keep various key information spreadsheets updated
  • reconciling all purchase invoices to goods in notes and purchase orders ensuring that invoices reflect correct quantities and prices agreed with suppliers and coding invoices for processing on accounts system

transport manager

Responsibility

  • the Fleet Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Volmary's fleet
  • this individual will be the point of contact for our customers and employees
  • the Fleet Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that Volmary's vehicles are in good working order and are properly maintained
  • liaise and control the weekly inputs from our parent company sites, ensuring product matches for individual customers that which we produce
  • co-ordinating with our palletline and courier functions for those hard to reach/inefficient deliveries

Requirements

  • communication & people management within an agile, ‘flat’ organisation
  • driving system and process improvements to automate or improve intensive processes
  • creative problem solving when there is no precedent
  • enhancing the B2B customer experience, particularly when dealing with major retail customers
  • full cleaning driving license and ideally with a relevant commercial vehicle license, although not essential
  • appropriate Road haulage qualifications or an ability to quickly attain them through relevant and current experience. CPC and knowledge of DVSA requirements particularly relevant as is knowledge of an operators license operation
  • flexible across the year to manage transport demands of a seasonal business with peaks from February to May, and demonstrable ability to go beyond the norm when necessary during those peak periods
