The VT Rework department was established in 2019 and is a massively evolving facet of the business with our daily mission to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry by reworking damaged items to create some truly unique pieces. Our team is full of young, energetic and ambitious people who are truly passionate about vintage and the story we are trying to tell through our pieces and we would love whoever fills this position to share this passion.What Is The Role?The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision, sales & merchandising of our space at Selfridges London, and will work closely with the store's manager. This is a unique role as the candidate will be working with vintage, sustainable product in a luxury/boutique environment, where your goal is to not only sell the product but educate and inform clientele of sustainable shopping, via Selfridges' "Reselfridges" scheme.Examples of the key day-to-day task are:- [ ] Supervision of the store with a strong on-the-floor presence- [ ] Identifying patterns within the space's performance, key sellers, risks & opportunities in order to capitalise on sales- [ ] Cashing up of tills when necessary (training received)- [ ] Managing the stock levels at the space and providing fresh merchandising to our rapidly moving product, refreshing the stock daily/upon deliveries- [ ] Communication with our Hackney-based studio and our Covent Garden store- [ ] Assisting in store-related content for Vintage Threads' social channels.
