bookkeeper
Responsibility
- administration of accounts payable and receivable
- manage CIS and VAT scheme requirements, including sub-contractor verification, tax deduction and monthly reporting to HMRC
- reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments
- assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- provide monthly/yearly management information to Directors
- collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- assist with year-end audits and tax preparation
Requirements
- proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts Professional
- must have good knowledge of Construction CIS scheme
- strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies or trends
- part/fully AAT, ACCA, CIMA or possess a minimum of 3 years of experience gained as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance based role
- bookkeeping: 3 years
