Responsibility
- producing seasonal bedding around the house, including seasonal planting, some cut flowers, cuttings , seed sowings, feeding and watering
- fixing leaks, IT issues, and all aspects of overall estate management e.g
- day to day care and maintenance of gardens including orchard, woodland garden, herbaceous borders, vegetable garden with cut flower border, espalier fruit trees, climbers and alpine house with border
- ordering heating fuel, sweeping out wine cellar etc
- managing/supervising a small organic pottager style vegetable garden, including two greenhouses, alpine house, main greenhouse with cold-frames, soft fruit, espalier fruit, cut flowers, sweet peas on wigwams and organic seed grown seasonal vegetables for the house
- clearing weed off the spring fed lake done as and when necessary
- maintenance of woodland areas including removing all weeds, feeding, pruning, and any new plantings of woodland plants
- managing and turning of compost heaps to be used around the garden
