Responsibility
responsible for staffing levels within the department including monitoring working standards, recruitment of new staff, training and staff appraisals
this can be in the form of telephone, e-mail or onsite visits
overseeing stock requirements and levels for all parts required for service support for all manufacturers
responsible for the maintenance of the service workshop ensuring a safe working environment for all staff
primarily responsible for project management on installations of Vertec Capital Equipment
provision of first line maintenance for all IT related issues and responsible for maintaining IT for the company, liaising with 3rd party support
responsible for anything that is technically related within the scope of the business
responsible for the supply of service contracts to all existing customers, providing support for the contract administration maintenance within Vertec and recruiting new capital equipment customers to contracts and keeping track of current and future service revenue generated by the service department
Requirements
an electronics / electrical qualification is essential
excellent problem-solving skills in a technical environment and good planning and organisational skills is a must
candidates must have 3 to 4 years Technical Service support experience, 2 of those years preferably in a supervisory capacity. Experience within a medical products supporting environment would be an advantage
IT experience is essential; you will need to be computer literate with an ability to understand technical data and keep up with such technologies
