mechanical technician

Working hours

Responsibility

  • leading and managing the technician team
  • production and work planning for the technician team
  • quality management to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • completing manufacture of beam and panel components
  • support development of methods and processes for finishing beams and polymer panels. To include bonding, laminating, cutting and drilling
  • implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns
  • troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs
  • training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years' experience of leading and managing a workshop team
  • extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, reading technical plans/drawings, installations, maintenance, and repairs
  • exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • great organisational and time management abilities

  • A minimum of five years' experience as a mechanical technician preferably in the construction industry or five years in a related industry
  • mechanical knowledge: 5 years
