account manage and foster relationships to continue doing business year-on-year
hitting individual and team targets, either per month, per quarter or per event / product
manage CRM and data
create new sales opportunities by finding leads and beginning new relationships with potential clients - there is a lot of opportunity for new business
travel to exhibitions and conferences to network with potential clients worldwide - in Africa, Asia, USA, Europe, South America, Caribbean, Pacific Islands
Requirements
ability to find leads and create relationships from the ground up
ability to gain a quick understanding of an industry and use this knowledge in conversation to secure business
impeccable telephone manner, ability to win people over via phone
working towards monthly and/or quarterly targets
comfortable speaking to potential clients face-to-face in a professional environment
ability to work through a sales cycle, including pipelining, tracking and closing
account / relationship management
