payroll officer

- full-time | Part-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- the Payroll Officer will be responsible for processing payroll for all employees in Merthyr Tydfil
- prepare and process weekly payroll for 500 employees
- this includes processing payroll on a weekly basis for all Valley Education Services employees
- prepare and process monthly payroll for office staff
- this position will also be responsible for processing weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for the company’s Merthyr Tydfil locations
- liaise with Account Managers to ensure all bookings on the system are correct
- liaise with Accounting to reconcile systems and invoicing
- liaise, when necessary, with pension and system providers
Requirements
- payroll experience and knowledge required
- great time-management skills
- hands on experience with Sage Payroll or equivalent
- strong math skills and ability to spot numerical errors
- ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- work effectively within a team
- excellent communication skills
- payroll: 2 years
