Responsibility
- conduct HGV vehicle inspections in accordance with DVSA standards and the GTMR
- interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose and repair faults
- use hand tools and equipment to perform maintenance and repairs on HGV and Plant
- conduct mechanical and electrical diagnostics on vehicles and Plant
- carry out forklift, soldering, welding, and other associated tasks as required
- perform heavy lifting when necessary
Requirements
- HGV Class 2 advantageous
- proficient in interpreting schematics and technical drawings
- experience with hand tools and equipment repair
- strong mechanical knowledge of heavy goods vehicles, IRTEC L3 an advantage
- electrical diagnostic skills are advantageous
- ability to operate forklifts
- proficiency in soldering, welding, and hydraulic systems
- capable of heavy lifting as part of the job duties
