UP & AWAY AVIATION SERVICES is looking for employees for positions:
accounts payable
Responsibility
- registering high volumes of purchase invoices, matching to purchase orders where necessary and ensuring accuracy and a timely process is followed
- obtaining authorisation from managers and ensuring timely responses
- monthly reconciliation of accounts to supplier statements
- build and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing queries and discrepancies in a timely manner
- monthly aged creditors reporting with balance sheet reconciliation
- reviewing of staff expense claims in line with the organisations Policies and Procedures
- set up of new suppliers and supplier detail changes onto accounting software in line with company guidelines
- prepare and provide to Finance Manager a suggested weekly payment run for all supplier accounts, along with allocations on accounting software and distribution of remittances
Requirements
- self-starter, able to work accurately without constant supervision across a number of tasks
- previous experience in purchase ledger would be required
- good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels both internally and externally
- ability to work accurately with attention to detail, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- A good team worker, willing to be flexible and take on a range of tasks
- high standard of integrity, confidentiality and discretion
- previous experience with Sage not necessary but desirable
