Responsibility
- ensure all purchases and requirements are dealt with in line with defined Procurement procedures
- develop and maintain supplier relationships
- negotiate best price and product quality
- assist in the provision of procurement of goods and services to achieve lowest costs, optimum quality and appropriate delivery time for sourced materials and services
- generation of purchase orders utilizing the purchasing system for all Unity sites
- source new vendors for R&D and Engineering Product Lines in line with Unity processes and procedures and in conjunction with other functions
- tracking and expediting of Critical High Level Spend, Project and Engineering Orders
- reporting of any issues promptly to Purchasing Supervisor and any key stakeholders
Requirements
- ideally, minimum of 3 years relevant Purchasing Experience, preferably within an engineering / manufacturing or technical setting
- educated to degree level advantageous but not essential
- self motivated and able to work under pressure
- good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- good written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of IT systems
