Responsibility
- planning, directing, and controlling the activities of the transport fleet
- ensuring planned routes are in line with working time directive and drivers’ hours
- ensuring workload is delegated accordingly and drivers understand all instructions
- producing optimal transport plans and approving transport routes
- assisting the Transport Planning Manager to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively
- monitoring the Transport Management software
- liaising with our depots and customers as required on deliveries and any issues
- ensuring the department complies with health and safety legislation
