Requirements

  • appropriate woodworking qualifications necessary
  • must have minimum of 3 years experience in wood machining and be able to deliver to high standard
  • must have minimum of 3 years experience in furniture making and be able to deliver to high standard
  • set up and operate, service sawing, drilling, planing, sanding and spindle moulding, machines, occasional ring fence work
  • read and interpret work documents i.e. cutting lists for jobs. Working from drawings/cutting lists to produce high quality furniture
  • machine wood accurately to specified dimensions ready to be handmade into furniture. Understand and use timber and timber products
  • high attention to details
  • have good communication & numerical skills and keep a tidy and productive workshop working with a minimum of supervision
