Requirements
- degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with a specialization in Obstetrics
- registered or eligible to register with the either HCPC / NMC
- registered or eligible for registration with a recognized medical sonography accreditation board
- minimum of 2 years of experience as an Obstetrics Sonographer, preferably in a clinical setting
- proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment, understanding image optimization techniques, and adapting settings for optimal imaging
- strong knowledge of obstetric anatomy, physiology, and fetal development
- exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the medical team
- attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and reporting scan results
Responsibility
- conducting ultrasound scans on pregnant women to monitor fetal development, growth, and overall health
- capturing clear and detailed images of the fetus and related anatomical structures using advanced ultrasound equipment
- communicating effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding throughout the scanning process
