Responsibility
- manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- ensure that the venue is fully staffed at all times, with appropriately trained and motivated employees
- manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that orders are placed in a timely and cost-effective manner
- develop and implement marketing and promotional activities to attract customers and increase revenue
- work closely with the chef to ensure that food quality and presentation meet the highest standards
- ensure that the venue is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times
- oversee the day-to-day operations of The Croes Howell, including the country pub, restaurant, and wedding venue, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures
- respond promptly and effectively to customer complaints and concerns
Requirements
- strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, employees, and suppliers
- strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- knowledge of health and safety regulations and licensing requirements
- experience in marketing and promotional activities, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies
- knowledge of food and beverage operations, with an emphasis on quality and presentation
- at least 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of success in managing a similar operation
- ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
