Responsibility
- TWAM Enterprises Ltd is Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums’ independent trading company
- you will be an experienced manager, having managed teams in a fast-paced catering and /or hospitality environment
- it was established in 2018 with the aim of significantly increasing self-generated income through the development of its commercial operations, including retail, e-commerce, catering, venue hire and events
- more than ever, TWAM’s continued success depends upon its ability to generate income, and we are now seeking an Assistant Catering and Hospitality Manager to join our team, working full time on a permanent contract
- as Assistant Catering and Hospitality Manager, you will be working alongside our General Manager to ensure that all visitors to Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums’ cafes receive the highest standards of service
- you will assist in all aspects of the operation of our cafés and will also help support the successful delivery of our conference & banqueting business
- you will also have the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of people, both internally and externally, and will use these skills to engage with and develop, members of our catering team
- the job role will be based in Discovery Museum, Blandford House, Newcastle upon Tyne with some travel to other city centre venues
