Responsibility
- read set up layouts and placing tooling in the correct positions
- grinding taps/dies and tooling using fixtures
- measure components to an engineering drawing
- ensure good housekeeping examples are being set and maintained
- follow Health and Safety Regulations at all times
- making sure any process or specific changes are identified on the specification sheets
- conduct other duties when required to promote business growth
- fault finding on machine when components drift out of tolerance. Ensure machines are topped up with bar and oil plus complete appropriate SPC/control sheets
Requirements
- mathematics and IT skills
- ability to prioritise
- good manual dexterity
- calm under pressure
- frequently lift and/or move 1Oft lengths of bar
- working to engineering drawings
- good attention to detail and work well to process adherence
- able to work well on your own or within a team environment
