Requirements

  • suitable experience working in a Similar Retail environment where display and product range are key drivers of the business
  • an ability to create attractive displays with a commercial understanding in Christmas, Gift and Garden Furniture departments
  • the ability to manage a small team of people, with clear and effective communication
  • an understanding of the Market, both retail and also the Supply Chain
  • A commercial approach to both buying and retailing
  • experience working in the Gift, Christmas and seasonal sectors, preferably in a Garden Centre environment, but department store or Independent store with a comprehensive and quality offering in these areas will be suitable
  • A Willingness to travel to Supplier showrooms and trade fairs in the UK and Europe
  • A positive and 'can do' attitude in the workplace

Responsibility

  • the business has Two Garden Centres, Burton Latimer and Elton as well as Landscaping and Nursery operations. Buying and department management is carried out from our Burton Latimer head office
