Requirements

  • relevant children’s home experience in a management post is a must
  • some LD experience desirable
  • experience within a managerial capacity and dealing with OFSTED requirements
  • experience of managing an effective team
  • the Home is new site with an intention to provide for children ( LD - based in the West Midlands
  • level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care
  • evidence of generally positive Ofsed inspections
  • A flexible approach to working hours and provide an on call out of hours service

Responsibility

  • to ensure staff are adequately trained, supported and supervised
  • be involved in the recruitment and retention of staff
