Requirements

  • minimum 3 years experience in a previous a nursery setting
  • NVQ level 3 certificate in childcare
  • knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • ability to lead a team and communicate with a positive approach and to ensure good practice at all times
  • we are looking for a skilled, caring and passionate individual to help manage the setting and to ensure a high standard of education and childcare is maintained
  • ability to adhere to, and support all staff members to understand and follow the legal requirements of the EYFS
  • as the deputy nursery manager you will work with the management team and be responsible for the day to day operations of the setting including quality improvement as well as staff and child performance reviews
  • you'll be required to step in for the Nursery manager in their absence

Responsibility

  • any other tasks as required by the Nursery/Owner
  • keeping all nursery policies, risk assessments and procedures up to date and are reviewed and amended when required / annually
  • carrying out regular staff supervisions, appraisals and any disciplinary procedures / investigations where required
