Responsibility

- to inspect, service and repair tankers to a high maintenance standard

- to highlight to the Branch or Workshop Manager, any vehicles which do not comply with company specifications and/or current legislation
- to ensure all compliance details are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- highlight all potential business commercial opportunities to line manager
- organise customer’s sourcing requirements from request through to on hire and off hire
- to ensure all service documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner
- to undertake all required training as deemed necessary by the company
- to ensure all company vehicles are driven and operated at all times in accordance with road traffic law and company policy
- adhere to company policy and procedures relating to the rental of trailers
- provide high customer service levels whilst working to specified deadlines
- vehicle check-in and check-out, managing parking locations on our computer system
- to project a high customer service & corporate image at all times
- must always adhere to the company’s health & safety policies and procedures
- ensure ‘good housekeeping’ in and around workstations
- to provide a high customer service level & demonstrate company values at all times
- conduct oneself in a consistent manner that always demonstrates TIP values & behaviours

- to service, repair & maintain HGV’s, trailers & tankers to a high standard within the company guidelines and to conform to all current mandatory & EHS legislation

- to report up at an early stage to the Branch or Workshop Manager, all problems or defects relating to the tanker vehicles which could suggest a manufacturing issue with any of the components
- perform any other relevant duties as reasonably directed by Management
- to ensure all company vehicles are driven and operated at all times in accordance with road traffic law and company policy and to ensure that you adhere to the Company Mobile Van Policy
- the role will involve possible shift working, including weekends
- ensure sitting fleet is tagged and comments are entered correctly
Requirements
- time served experience working with tankers or HGV types would be an advantage
- must be a “Time Served” technician/engineer or possess City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications & experience
- full valid driving license
